Yep, this is no typo for Sony, the audio pioneer behind the “walkman” brand name is bringing the same portability to your smart phone with their release of their “Live with Walkman” phone due out this year.
It is a smartphone that focuses on music with extensive linking to social media for such purposes. It has automatic music discovery functions that it uses to search for your favorite tunes over the internet. It is Android-based and uses xLOUD audio technology that allows the built-in speakers to sound as if they were bigger and more powerful.
Sony-Erickson has struggled in the mobile market in the age of the iPhone and other leaders such as LG, Samsung and some others that also use Google’s Android Operating system,. This product is designed mainly as an iPhone with the same music abilities but it has more to prove and improve on over it’s looks for sure.
